Georgia On My Mind Benefit Returns to Ryman in 2022

On May 10, 2022, the 9th Annual Gretsch Presents Georgia on My Mind concert, hosted by Brent Cobb and Amy Ray, returns to the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets are $54.50 and $44.50 and available now at ryman.com.

In 2020, longtime Georgia On My Mind hosts, the Peach Pickers (Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip), turned the mantle over to their fellow Georgians Cobb and Ray, both of whom had guested at the concert in the past. Due to Covid, Brent and Amy hosted Georgia On My Mind streamed events in 2020 and 2021.

This spring, though, Brent and Amy finally get to host in-person at the historic Ryman, and they’ve assembled a special group of friends to join them including: Amy Grant, Amythyst Kiah, Alison Brown, Ben Chapman, Butch Walker, Charlie Starr, Elizabeth Cook, Katie Pruitt, Kevn Kinney, John Driskell Hopkins, Jontavious Willis, The Lone Bellow, O.N.E. The Duo, Patterson Hood, Channing Wilson and Kristina Murray. A blue-chip group of musicians will anchor the house band including Josh Day, Brian Allen, Scott Patton, Jeff Fielder, John Pahmer and Adrian Carter.

Concert-goers can also experience the power of music education out on PNC Plaza at Ryman Auditorium before the show starts. Stringonometry, an accomplished and entertaining bluegrass band featuring four high school seniors from Thomasville, GA, will perform from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and demonstrate just why it’s so important to support music education programs.

The Georgia Music Foundation, a non-profit organization, has been able to award nearly $600,000 in Georgia Music Grants since the very first “Georgia On My Mind” concert back in 2014.

The Foundation thanks Fred and Dinah Gretsch and the Gretsch Company, and Gus Arrendale and  Springer Mountain Farms for their generous and invaluable support this year.
