Peach Pickers Host Georgia On My Mind Concert July 17, 2019
Each year, the Peach Pickers – Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, and Ben Hayslip – assemble a blue-chip group of friends for an evening of music at the historic Ryman Auditorium to benefit the Georgia Music Foundation.

“This annual night of music has been so successful because of the generosity of the artists who participate,” said Dallas Davidson, longtime chair of the Georgia Music Foundation. “The camaraderie on stage reflects the friendships and mutual respect that Ben, Rhett and I have for the musicians and Georgians who have been a part of and influenced our careers.”
The efforts of the Peach Pickers and friends have enabled the Georgia Music Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting programs of music education, preservation and outreach, to award nearly $400,000 in grants to music programs at schools and non-profit organizations over the past five years.
The commitment to music education is shared by event partners. Fred Gretsch, president of presenting sponsor The Gretsch Company, a fifth-generation musical instrument manufacturer with its world headquarters based in Pooler, Georgia, said, “As a multi-generational family business run by Dinah Gretsch, our daughter Lena, and me, we are honored to support the Peach Pickers and present Georgia On My Mind. The Gretsch family’s goal is enriching lives through participation in making music and we’ve seen how proceeds from previous year’s concerts have impacted music education programs around the state of Georgia.”
The Peach Pickers are also proud to once again partner with NAMM, the National Association of Music Merchants, and the NAMM Foundation, which supports scientific research, philanthropic giving and public service programs in music. The biennial trade show Summer NAMM returns to Music City Center in Nashville July 18-20, 2019 with the latest music and pro audio gear from top manufacturers, and career-enhancing education and networking and more than 14,000 music industry professionals, international media and artists attending.
The Otis Redding Foundation’s mission is to empower, enrich, and motivate all young people through programs involving music, writing, and instrumentation. The Foundation’s DREAM Choir has performed as backup singers for Andra Day and traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in “In Performance At the White House” hosted by First Lady, Michelle Obama, The GRAMMY Museum, and National Endowment for the Arts.
The Peach Pickers, all Georgia natives, have accumulated more than 70 No. 1 songs collectively and individually since 2010, and earned numerous awards and accolades.
